About Glen

Glen Goland utilizes his years of experience in the financial and legal sectors to create estate plans that work for his clients and efficiently administer trusts and estates. His responsibilities include meeting with clients, drafting planning documents, researching legal issues and preparing court filings and tax returns.

Before attending Suffolk University Law School, Glen spent a decade in the financial industry. He uses the experience he gained as a financial advisor - and working inside several large financial institutions - to consult with his clients, develop planning strategies and provide counsel on financial and tax questions. His experience as a pet owner and dog lover ensures that his clients' estate plans often include provisions for the care of their animals. Glen recently taught a continuing education seminar for the Oregon State Bar about including pets in estate plans.

After completing his undergraduate studies at the University of Massachusetts in 1996, Glen spent ten years working 9-5 financial jobs while pursing his musical ambitions at night. His band Focusin played shows all over New England, and he has shared the stage with U2, Def Leppard and Blink-182, among others. He enrolled in Suffolk University Law School in 2006.

Glen moved to Portland in early 2010. In his free time he can be found snowboarding on the slopes of Mt. Hood, surfing in the Pacific or exploring Portland’s restaurants with his wife Krissy and their son.

He has served as a volunteer for the Oregon Post Adoption Resource Center, where he has spoken to groups about estate planning and the unique challenges that families face when they adopt children. In September of 2011, Glen joined the Board of Directors for Housecall Providers, Inc., a Portland nonprofit that integrates comprehensive hospice services with primary care for homebound patients in the Portland area.
